JACKSON, NJ — The discovery of mold in over the summer prompted officials to launch cleanup efforts and to transfer the staff to another building, according to the Asbury Park Press.

Mold was found growing on hard surfaces in classrooms which officials attribute to a wet summer with high humidity, the article stated.

According to the article, staff members have been trained to remove mold and are following Environmental Protection Agency cleanup protocols.

The district has hired a mold remediation company, ., to further scour the building, the article noted.

The district will have an industrial hygienist reassess the school once the remediation process has been completed, the article added.
