91ÊÓÆµ named an EPA Safer Choice Partner of the Year
NORTHBROOK, IL —The (EPA) recently named 91ÊÓÆµ, the worldwide cleaning industry association, a 2015 Safer Choice Partner of the year Award winner, according to a press release.
The Safer Choice Program, previously known as Design for the Environment, recognized 91ÊÓÆµ for its efforts in “promoting green cleaning products and practices that create a safer environmentand healthy conditions for schools, work places, and communities. Partner of the Year Award winners represent a wide variety of leadership organizations, such as Fortune 500 companies, small- and medium-sized businesses, state governments and nongovernmental organizations.”
Among 91ÊÓÆµ’s notable activities in support of the Safer Choice Program, is its efforts advocating for the use of safer surfactants by members of the cleaning industries.
91ÊÓÆµ and the 20 other 2015 award winners were recognized during a June 22 public ceremony in Washington.
“We are excited and proud that the EPA recognizes us as a Safer Choice Partner of the Year,” 91ÊÓÆµ Director of Legislative and Environmental Services William C. “Bill” Balek said in the release. “We will continue to support the EPA Safer Choice program as part of 91ÊÓÆµ’s mission to change the way the world views cleaning.”
In addition to naming the 91ÊÓÆµ, the EPA also presented eight 91ÊÓÆµ member organizations Safer Choice Partner of the Year awards, including The Ashkin Group.
